2017 Mercedes AMG F1 W08 [simfphys]

2017 introduced radical design changes in Formula One. Cars were widened from 1.8m to 2m, rear wings were lower and wider, and the tyres were also dramatically widened, resulting in a more aggressive look and more importantly, better lap times.

Driven by Lewis Hamilton and the newly promoted Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes' 2017 contender was very quick, but also unpredictable, leading to the team calling the car a "diva."

While not as dominant as previous years, the W08 was still able to give Lewis Hamilton his fourth World Drivers' title and Valtteri Bottas' career best World Drivers' Championship finish at 3rd place, losing 2nd to Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.
