Completed in 1991, The Harold Washington Library Center is the central library for the Chicago Public Library, and was at one time one of the world's largest libraries. Its architecture incorporates a number of design elements inspired by other famous Chicago buildings.

*UPDATE 1: Fixed and improved normals. Smoother brick normals, better stonework normals at the base, normal directions working on all sides, and the sculptures on the roof have more normal detailing added so they have more depth and the details show more.

*UPDATE 2: Further fixed and some smoothed normals. Minor added details and tweaked textures. Old low-detail interior replaced with more detailed, accurate, and expansive interior with more windows made of clear glass for a better look and to allow enterprising players nice views from the building.

*UPDATE 3: Changed from a University to a Public Library that works as an actual library now.

*Main model: 30,052 tris with 1024x4096 textures.
*LOD Main: 1,394 tris with 512x512 textures.
*Sub Model (Roof Details): 20,098 tris with 512x2048 textures.
*LOD Sub (Roof): 1 tris with 4x4 texture.
*Sub Model (Interior): 4,928 tris with 256x3072 textures.
*LOD Sub (Interior): 95 tris with 128x128 textures.
*Sub Model (Glass): 224 tris with 32x32 textures.
*LOD Sub (Glass): 53 tris with 8x8 textures.

TOTAL tris count: 55,302 (1,543 LOD), which amounts to 409 tris per tile. (Given the size, height, and detail of this building, that number's still not too bad.)

NOTES:

*Screenshots were taken with a variety of visual mods including post process effects with ambient occlusion, dynamic resolution, daylight classic, and ultimate eye candy.
