Magic the Gathering: Tower

Tower is a casual format that calls back to all the iconic cards of MtG. This format (and mod) is played with a single deck of Magic the Gathering cards and includes everything you need to play. The rules are simple, draw 7 cards from the deck, then battle your opponent in a game of MtG. However, you'll find a few rule execptions that alter the game in a way that may surprise and delight you. Enter the Tower to find out for yourself.


Rules Overview
A game of Tower can be played with 2 or more players and uses the same rules used during a traditional game of Magic the Gathering, but with the following rule exceptions:

- Each player draws from the same deck of cards (The Tower).
- Each player has their own separate graveyard.
- Players begin the game at 20 life.
- Each player draws on their first turn.
- Once during your turn, instead of playing a land in the traditional way, you may play any card from your hand face-down as a nonbasic land that taps for any color. This land is called a Tower.
- You may look at face-down Tower cards you control.
- If you would draw a card, you may instead return a Tower you control to your hand.
- When a game ends, the winner collects all cards that were used during that game, sets them aside, and keeps them as trophies. Begin a new game with the remaining cards in the Tower deck until they have all been claimed as trophies. The player with the most trophy cards is the Tower Champion.
