Tyrus, known to WWE fans as Brodus Clay, currently works for Impact Wrestling. As part of TNA/Impact, he has often been the muscle for other wrestlers, backing them up as they pursue top titles.

In WWE, after a run backing up his NXT mentor Alberto Del Rio, fans expected the then-named Brodus Clay to join the singles ranks as a monster. After weeks of teasing his debut, WWE brought Brodus out under a new gimmick, "The Funkasaurus." Brodus excelled in the role in many ways, getting fan support early, but the gimmick seemed to relegate him to lower mid-card status. Before leaving WWE, he teamed up with Tensai (Albert) as Tons of Funk.
