Katsuyori Shibata may possibly have wrestled his last match, but you can still use him in dream matches in Fire Pro Wrestling World.

Shibata spend most of his career wrestling for NJPW, although he did spend several years away from wrestling fighting in MMA.

In 2017, Shibata won the New Japan Cup, and opted to take on Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Shibata took a headbutt and suffered a subdural hematoma, a potentially fatal injury. Shibata has not been cleared to wrestle since, but was announced as the lead trainer for the New Japan dojo in Los Angeles in March 2018.
