Unit avatars for the Princes of Darkness mod: Vampires, Werewolves, Mages and Fae in the World of Darkness.

Updated 1/26/2020 to solve Crash to Desktop bug of witch hunter units




This submod for Princes of Darkness greatly diversifies supernatural special troops.

You need the base mod, Princes of Darkness, for this sub mod to work.

ALL GRAPHICAL UNIT DLC, CONTENT PACK DLC AND ANY DLC THAT INCLUDED UNIT GRAPHICS ARE REQUIRED TO USE THIS SUBMOD!

The approach of this submod is to take the many court counciler avatars and repurpose them as supernatural special troops like Vampires, Mages and Fae. We also mix weapons, helmets and mounts. Special Troops are heavily weighted to appear on the map instead of regular units. Special troops are all significatly more powerful than regular units.



We have also retuxtured a few units such as Nosfeartu infantry and mass vampire cavalry and infantry.



If you are using the Princes of Darkness mod without this submod, you will only see vanilla units among the special troops.

If you are using this submod and you do not have ALL of the Paradox Unit Graphic DLC, you can expect graphic problems with the game including missing unit avatars, big black spikes, various graphic noise and even crashes to desktop. DO NOT USE THIS SUBMOD UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL OF THE PARADOX GRAPHIC DLC.DID WE MENTION THAT YOU NEED ALL PARADOX UNIT GRAPHIC DLC TO USE THIS MOD? BECAUSE YOU NEED ALL PARADOX UNIT GRAPHIC DLC TO USE THIS MOD!The majority of loading screens from the Princes of Darkness mod were moved to this sub mod to save space in the size of the upload of the main mod.

Vampire knights on revenant warhorses, what more could you want?

william2066, not yet! This mod made a lot of use of unit models provided by DLC from Paradox. We can't port DLC models between games. But we do have ideas to expand the model roster greatly in POD for CK3 in the future.

SomeGoodsWEDE, yes, and if you do not have almost all the graphical DLC from Paradox for CK2, it will give you a crash. And there are graphics in some DLC you might not realize, like the ones that add council avatars. We make a lot of use of those.

Which DLCs I have to own "exactly" to use this mod ? I has not see this point or I have missed it. Please tell me here without any links or other things. :-)

Unfortunate. A suggestion would be to look around that DLC problem.

Yeah, we are aware this submod requires a LOT of DLC, thats why its an optioal submod. We still do use some vanilla councilor units in the main mod to mix things up a bit. The only thing you are losing by not using this submod is a bit of unit graphcial diversity... but its nothing you aren't already missing in CK2.

Damn, I hoped that since it said it included EVERY unit pack, that it would have been the most cost effective way of going about it. :(

Grandmajora, unforunately no. We also use councillor models extensively from Conclave Content Pack, Reaper's Due Content Pack, Monks & Mystics and Jade Dragon. Councillors are actually used more for this mod than military units.
