(8) The Jeulvian Gap

August 29th 1944: "The boys have been working hard day in and day out. I gotta say, they have taken a lot of ♥♥♥♥. I mean most of this platoon was wiped out at Omaha beach when we first arrived in Normandy. So we were forced to be on reserves till reinforcements arrived from home. Fortunatly, we were assigned to help the British 32nd Armour to take Jeulvian; Intel gave us that is was still neutral since to both sides. I think the gerries were just too stupid enough to keep it under their control and left it for the taking. So we might just score and easy vantage point and get one step closer to Berlin. Or so I thought so... - Unknown American Major
