Akira Tozawa

Dragon Gate dojo graduate Akira Tozawa began his career in his native Japan in 2005, and worked for Dragon Gate and its US affiliate DGUSA until he signed with WWE in 2016.

Tozawa participated in the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic, winning two matches before losing in the quarterfinals. When WWE launched their Cruiserweigght division, Tozawa was announced as one of its first members.

Since joining the Cruiserweight division, Tozawa has been appearing on Raw and 205 Live. During summer 2017, he was recruited by Titus O'Neil to be part of the Titus Worldwide brand, which Tozawa eventually joined. As part of Titus Worldwide, Tozawa defeated Neville to win the Cruiserweight Championship, although his title reign lasted less than a week.
