Ember Moon, currently competing for WWE's NXT brand, began her career in 2007 on the US independent scene using the ring name Athena.

As Athena, she competed for Shimmer and Women Superstars Uncensored, among others, before catching WWE's eye and signing with them in 2015.

While on the NXT roster, Ember Moon had a lengthy undefeated streak broken by Asuka, then failed to pry the NXT Women's Championship from the Empress of Tomorrow. When Asuka left for RAW and vacated the title, Ember Moon won the vacant title.
