Viação Motta was founded on March 31, 1967 in the city of Presidente Prudente - SP.

Pedro Cassimiro Motta, founder of the company, always worked with transportation. Paulista, who was still young, was transporting logs to Maracaí sawmills, later to form the "Motta - Tolentino" gardening company, which carried passengers from the city of Martinópolis - SP to the ravines of Rio do Peixe.

With the creation of Viação Motta, he started interstate journeys and took passengers between the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso, now Mato Grosso do Sul. "At that time - in the words of Pedro Cassimiro Motta - the greatest difficulties were crossing the Paraná River by the ferry and the dirt roads that, when it rained, increased the problems of the company.

One of the biggest achievements of the company was the road link between the cities of Porto Velho - RO and the city of Manaus - AM, transporting students from the Rondon Project in the year 1974.
Specialized in the transportation of passengers by road, it has incorporated several lines over the years and now serves more than 400 cities in the states of São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Distrito Federal e Rio de Janeiro.
