Altian Government forces' counteroffensive to the north:
Since the beginning of the civil war in 2016, the insurgents were able to hold their positions in the mountainous region of the north of Altis, being their center of operations in the area the town of Oreokastro. After the last insurgent offensive in October 2017, the AAF forces have counterattacked with infantry supported by continuous air support on insurgent positions. Currently, the rebels have retreated 5 kilometers to the north, entering the most mountainous region of the island, between the towns of Oreokastro and Abdera. The AAF has found the supply line between Oreokastro and Athira (held by the rebels) too exposed, and has planned, with the lead of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade, a new offensive in the Abdera Valley, strategic point that controls the passage towards Oreokastro, with the objective of cutting off Oreokastro's supplies and forcing them into a situation of shortage of ammunition and food.

Operation instructions:
"Minótavros" (Minotaur) Company, of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade, is deployed on the slope of Mount Pyrsos, 1.2 kilometers south of the village of Abdera. After several days of attacks by the Air Force, the resistance of the insurgent forces will surely have been damaged, but to secure the valley it is necessary to intervene with the infantry. The Minos 1 squad will be in charge of the operation, with Minos 2 and Minos 3 under its command, taking care to cover the flanks in the advance towards the objective. It is estimated that the presence will be mostly of individuals armed with light weapons. Once the valley is taken, a protection garrison will be established to create an AAF stronghold in the region from where the following operations will be coordinated.

Take the command of the Minos units and be part of a counter-insurgency operation in an ambience of mountain warfare during the June 2018 Government's counteroffensive in the northern front of the island in the context of the Altian Civil War of 2016, as a sergeant of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Brigade (AAF), taking back a strategically important village in the valley of Abdera from the pro-western insurgency.

Very nice, but mission ends abruptly with a "mission successful screen" even if there are still lots of heavy fights inside the city !

Oh, also a quick tip for other players who dont have the Laws of War DLC:

If you dont want to deal with that annoying watermark bull, just go into your squad loadout at the opening map/briefing screen. I just took off the legbag which is the only DLC dependency and swapped it for a squadmates normal backpack. More carrying capacity, AND no watermark! Great success!

Liked this mission a bunch. The hillside city fight was intense and very fun.

Only criticisms:
1) The mission just abruptly ended when I was still having a firefight. The mission complete menu showed I completed all objectives EXCEPT taking Adera, which was the only really objective anyway. This happened to me at 29 minutes 20 seconds, so maybe there was a little time limit?
2) Just like Centaur, the squads loadouts were weighed down with useless stuff. However, even worse, in this mission, one of my guys had only 7.62 AK mags, which dont work with the 5.56 rifle he carried.

One of my favorite scenarios youve made so far. (although I do prefer the more historically themed ones for thematic flavor) Great job!

This was legit a VERY good mission. Short but sweet, had a blast commanding units around to lock down the town.

First of all, loved this mission and the same goes for the other (Centaur) as I really could't fault it for much. The only thing you could look into though is possibly making the player a platoon commander in command of 2-3 sections with a small team for personal protection, rather than section commander with a full section of guys to command as well as having to command 2 other sections. But then again, it comes down to player preference and as is the mission is great anyways. Thumbs up dude :)

@FrAnKy, you see that you're tasked to talk to the section commander in charge of the operation. Bail out of the truck, talk to him and then move to the area of operations to fight.
