It certainly is. One of my maps has 2000 subs but the other ones are just stuck below 100. It also helped in the early days of this Workshop to be the first. Some ♥♥♥♥ maps were just in the top 3 for so long.

Atleast you're maps are worth getting up there :)

@Bass][e I am not really sure. It looks like if you receive a certain number of likes and favorites in a short time, your map will automatically be sent to the most popular of the day. Then, it begins a snowball effect: more people get to see it, part of them subscribe and like it, making it even more popular and the thing keeps growing until a certain peak. At least, that was the pattern I saw in five of my most popular maps. I guess that means Steam Workshop's metrics are somehow broken and even exploitable regarding that.

how are you getting so many subscribers? it really amazes me, because your maps aren't that different from mine..

@Satsujin If I had the same tools Landfall used to create the current maps I'd accept the job even without payment.

Looks like a legit Deathmatch map. Im adding this to my collection of other DM maps :)
