Roy Keane In His Prime

Few players deserve their reputation as a hard man than Roy Keane. He was as aggressive as they come, and was always the most determined player on the pitch--Fergie himself said that Keane would "rather die of exhaustion than lose."

That being said though, most forget Keane's intelligence and technical ability. He was just as capable of intercepting passes through his reading of the game than he was at tackling the life out of those who dared to dribble a ball near him.

For me, Keane's prime was during the 1998-99 season where he was completely unplayable and as feared to play against as ever. There's also the small fact that he'd managed to win Manchester United an unprecedented treble.
