One half of War Machine, Raymond Rowe debuted on the independent circuit in 2003. After wrestling professionally for 10 years, Rowe began appearing for ROH in 2013 and competed in the Top Prospect Tournament in early 2014. Rowe made it to the finals of the tournament, but lost to Hanson.

Within a few months, Rowe and Hanson began teaming as War Machine, and outside of an injury to Rowe in summer 2014, the two teamed consistently for ROH and NJPW until signing with WWE in early 2018.

As a tag team, War Machine have won tag team titles in both ROH and NJPH (2x).

Hanson and Rowe seem to be headed towards NXT and appear to be gearing up to run roughshod through the development brand's tag division as The War Raiders.

Rowe was renamed Erik on the main roster in April 2019, and the team debuted on Raw as The Viking Experience.
