When taking in a stray, the first step is to take it to the vet for a check up. May as well get it shots and ID while you're there, spade/neuter as needed, then the rest is up to you.

Adopting a full-feral is a poor idea, half-feral can be very interesting, a displaced domestic should settle into any home nicely.
