[Fighter Blueprint] Terran (ATF) Valkyrie M5 [X3]

The nimble Valkyrie is the forward scouting vessel of the AGI Task Force, an elite branch of the Terran military dedicated to fighting the Xenon. Faster and better armed than the standard Terran Rapier (which is already considered both fast and well-armed for its class), the Valkyrie can carry the powerful triplex scanner while packing enough firepower to challenge most M4s. As is the standard for Terran fighter designs, it is armed with Electro-Magnetic Plasma Cannons (EMPCs) and is able to carry small quantities of Poltergeist cluster missiles.

Futher blurring the line between the M5 and M4 designations, the ATF's Mjolnir interceptor is built on the same chassis as the Valkyrie. Sacrificing engine and sensor capability for better shields and further weapons mounts, the Mjolnir's devastating array of eight forward EMPCs allow it to burst down other fighters with frightening speed.

This build of the ATF Valkyrie/Mjolnir is based on its appearance in X3:TC. It is exactly 200 blocks. I didn't notice until I was pulling up references that the Valkyrie and Mjolnir actually use the same model - which, hey, saves me some work. I also noticed that all of the ATF fighters share the same basic cockpit design, so I might go ahead and do a Thor M3 as well, since it's basically halfway done already.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.
