What is Osmium
Osmium is the densest naturally occurring element.
Perfect for weighing down creatures so they cannot move even while set to wander.

A paperweight for your dinos!

They can still rotate in place and attack (if server setting allows this).
Osmium will also allow your creatures to breed without the need of a breeding pen.

Place this in your creatures inventory to lock them in place.
Simply remove this from their inventory to allow them to move again.



PLEASE NOTE: At the moment, Osmium does not persist through restarts. Please take your dinos off wander before restarts. This bug should be fixed soon.

Engram unlockable at level 1 for 0 engram points
Costs 1 raw metal ore and 1 polymer

The following will allow your creatures to rotate in place and also use their attack abilities if not on passive. Creatures will not rotate/attack by default.

Really love this mod but was very amused yesterday. Put it in my Gachas so they don´t get to close and breed. Yeah, few hours later she was pregnant. Forgot that they eat really everything, the Osmium Chain too...xD

Looks very nice. Since we can't use S+ on our current Server this might be the perfect replacement for it's hitching post. Is the Issue with the Osmium vanishing on Server restarts resolved?

Some dino abilities don't work if you weigh them down with natural things. Plus some dinos have extreme carrying capacity and to weigh them down takes huge amounts of stone or other things. This is just 1 little thing, dump it in first slot and the dino is weighed down. Can mate without them wandering all over the map.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good concept but you can simply use stones or metal to weigh them down.

Hello,
we noticed the following issue:
After using the osmium, creature damage is reduced by 50%.
The value in the creature profile remains the same, but only 50% are dealt.
Even after removal the Osmiumfrom the inventory and server restart, this is still the case.
Hope you can fix it.

@tkstumpf Great idea but not all dinos wear a saddle or hat or costume. So Taming Ravengers and Glowtails would rule one or the other out when it comes to those. Maybe a glow or status effect like the Alpha dinos or Feeding trough icons. Not sure which would be best that would not take away from the simplicity for breeding.
