[WOTC] Tons Of Utility Items

描述
Allows you to configure number of extra utility items for soldiers through ini, adjustable by items equipped or abilities learned. This mod also allows multiple heavy weapons. Configurable through <steam library folder>\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\1271711184\Config\XComUtilityItems.ini

Additional mod features:
- fixes the issue of ammo pocket overflowing into utility items slot, causing loss of ammos.
- allows customization of items restriction, limiting heavy weapons and utility items to specific classes.
- Replace icons based on perks, with this mod alone it will shows 2 grenades instead of 1 for vanilla grenades on grenade slots if you have heavy ordnance. (NOT UPDATED FOR DLC ITEMS YET)

This is a non highlander mod, it uses a hack on the UI to stop the game from forcing the unit to have 1 or 2 utility slots. It should be compatible with any mods that don't override the same class/use validateloadout randomly.

Known Issue:
- Injured soldiers/soldiers who have their class changed (from training/promotion from rookie)/make armor available affected soldiers will forget their extra utility items.

Compability:
This mod overrides UIArmory_Loadout and UIArmory_LoadoutItem

Having disabled this mod I've found:
1 my guys did not lose a utility slot
2 pistol now works

So I think the function of this mod is inbuilt into the highlander or long war mods, but having it enabled causes some conflict.

@engager6 4 years later and I am trying to narrow down why my pistol slot isn't working. It's lead me here. Seems likely the issue remains

how do you get this to work i have tried to alter the ini file but no changes in game

Sorry to ask, but I was just interested in the clarification of which features of this mod have been rolled into the Highlander.

Specifically, I'm trying to determine whether, " The issue of ammo pocket overflowing into utility items slot, causing loss of ammos." has been integrated into the Highlander?

Excellent mod, much needed changes allowed. At least now i can justify insane investment in lategame LWOTC armors by adding them 1 utility slot bonus. So that part of the mod works with Long War Of The Chosen, however for some reason pistol slot disappeared from the soldier's loadout and i can't equip pistols on anyone, even if they have appropriate perks. Strangely though units equipped with pistols before installation with this mod still have them, but i can't remove them now. Any idea how to fix this problem? Thanks.

You are not supposed to use this mod with Highlander.

never had a issue with this until highlander had an update in last day or 2 now i dont have slots. what is everyone else using?

this mod is meant to be the workaround for those who don't use the highlander, so there's no plans on fixing that.

Highlander now has multiple ways of adding Utility and Heavy Weapon slots that is compatible with other mods, in case you ever want to resolve this issue.
