描述
Melting polar caps reinvented!

M-4 is QST's solution for growing demand for fuel of its fleet. Most accesible ice reserves are usually located onplanetary poles or lunar surfaces, and M-4 is excellent at scooping surface. Without your input.

M-4 don't need much attention - you drop it on mining site, set for how long it should mine and trigger the sequence! That's it! You just come back later on, and either replace cargo pod on it's bed, or you retrieve the entire vehicle.

For dealing with meteors and local fauna M-4 utilises 4 low-caliber turrets. They won't be a sufficient defence against greater threats like hostile armoured vehicles or giant sandworms.

M-4 operational speed is a bit over 1m/s, just enough to keep up with drills. Users can adjust it to their own liking easily though.


Harvester is extremely easy to use. To run the machine, you just trigger "Timer Block (Deploy)". To set for how long the M-4 should work, set desired delay on the "Timer Block (Reset)".

Als, @Ralle030583, I noticed the lunar poles are rough, but this still works!

@Ralle030583 I've tested it on martian dunes and it worked pretty good, but it needs some flat terrain to deploy the drill. When it's going, it can handle some hills, but keep in mind it's auto-harvester and not dune buggy :P

@CTH2004 Mountains will be too much, but it handles hills no problem.

All poles are flat, and ice lakes are flat. However, mountains, not so much!

This gave me an idea for a deployable site preparation rig. You know have you ever tried to build either a large scale base or a colony consisting of several buildings on an uneven area? Well at least that's my overall idea.

@Prophet Planetary crafts and Stealth don't go along particulary well, sadly. Good old camo colours work way better for them.

@k_medlock I hope it won't let your expectations down!

@Lt.Starbound Small grids are not really well suited for large scale mining :/
