Klopp's Gegenpressing 2018 4-2-3-1

Utilizing very heavy pressing and direct counter attacks when the ball is won back, the ball will be distributed forward as fast as possible as your Inside Forwards and False Nine link to create a dynamic attack and score plenty of goals.

And for the defense, the heavy pressing from the back 4 and the 2 Central Midfielders will both ensure that the ball is won back and prevent an opposition chance from being created, whilst helping to create a chance for your attack as the defenders or midfielders will be passing the ball forward with a fast counter attack.

This tactic is not designed to be stupidly Overpowered like much of the others posted around the internet, it is intended to be a realistic and accurate representation of Jurgen Klopp's Gegenpressing system.

How to use the tactic:

1. Have players with a high work rate and stamina, otherwise they will not be able to cope with the intensity of gegenpressing and will most likely injure themselves.

2. Focus on world class wingers rather than strikers, feel free to train attacking midfielders with high finishing as a False Nine to play in that position.

3. Use defenders comfortable on the ball, as they are playing as Ball Playing Defenders with a high defensive line and they might get caught out by opposition players otherwise.

4. Set the training to Balanced and Attacking Movement.

5. No Opposition Instructions.
