描述
A puzzle based around a thing you can do to make things happen and a thing you can do to make the first thing happen.

I haven't seen the particular mechanic I have in mind for the solution in any other puzzles, so I put together this one for it. Caution: there are irreplaceable cubes not to be fizzled, which should be reasonably obvious. (I tried avoiding using a fizzler, but couldn't; I tried putting in droppers and couldn't make it look good.)

Ayup, that's a that sort of crack. Oh well. Maybe I'll fix it sometime. To your question: the solution to this puzzle does not involve [em]any[/em] glitches. I could have avoided making the dropper glitch possible, but I didn't like how much taller it'd make everything.

There are two, on opposite sides, here's screenshots of them: screenshot1 screenshot2 . Not sure, but does the intended solution involve putting the cube back in the dropper, to get it to drop two cubes ?

Prototype: Where's the crack? I tried to make sure that all the glass was facing the right way to not have any ▚ shaped cracks.

Haven't worked out the intended way yet, but it can be solved by shooting a portal through a crack in the glass and bringing two cubes through, then stack them to reach the exit.

Nice one! Took me a minute to figure out what the first cube was for with that being the only button, then it hit me once I saw the other pairs of cubes. Cheers!

dlafield: You got it. It usually takes me an extra try or two. A tip: when holding a reflector cube, you can look through it to see where it's aiming, which can help with placing cubes while there's no beam.

The only criticism I have is that in the room that the lazer goes into to be redirected towards the receiver, you can't see where the lazer goes because the box inside the box dropper blocks it. This makes it difficult to know where you are aiming, which may cause a lot of frustraiting back and forth action, even after you've figured out how to solve it. Not sure of any creative ways around that though. It may just be a necessary frustration, given the nature of this particular puzzle.

I like the new improvements. The way I solved the new version was use the first redirection cube to shoot the lazer through the box dropper into the other small room, then use the second redirection cube to shoot the lazer into the receiver, then place one portal under the box dropper, and another over the button, so that the box drops on the button, and destroys itself in an infinate loop that brings the stairs up and down. Is that the correct way to solve it?

got the 2nd rcube aligned in only 2 goes, though it was going to take a lot more. cheers

New version: fixes some cubes being unnecessary and “portal bumping” glitches.
