The Solrian Reactor

描述
Journey to the Solrian Reactor! A failed project to create the ultimate power source. By which means, no one can say for sure. The technology, now a relic to the ancient ways, holds many mysteries! Not limited to why this facility was ripped from the ground and now floats with some magical properties yet discovered. Perhaps the very same that put the world the way it is today, chunks of land floating through the sky like birds searching for a new home.

Discover 3 Murals, 5 Databanks, and plenty of loot crates!

LORE:

** You happen to stumble upon a tattered journal, the leather bound book reads "Dr. Aldren Solre" ** "Dr. Solre, we are ready for the initial start up experiments." I turned and smiled over the paperwork and charts I held in my hand. Just one of the many subordinates underneath me. Well, Leant to me by the Builders Guild I should say. It was a long time coming, this reactor. Fuel to power an entire fleet of skyships for years! Thats what I had promised my backers...

Little did we know the consequences of our actions that day. Oh how I would take back activating the thing had I know I would be spending the rest of my life hiding and covering up the incident! The power of the sun surely is not meant for man. Perhaps this was my punishment from the gods, to wander the skies aimlessly, hiding from those angry at the large anamoly my reactor had created.

"Start the tests, monitor the power output and chart the flucuations. Make sure to have someone eyeing those pressure gauges as well. " As I commanded people began to scurry around the room twisting knobs and writing on their own peices of paper. Documenting any changes they saw. The reactors coils started humming at that moment, the reactions I had only dreamed of seeing from my mathmatical equations coming to life before me. The coils spinning faster and faster around that now bright blue shaft of light. Oh how beautiful it was, captivating, mesmerizing even!

Though my delight was ruined when the ground beneath my feet begun to tremble. "Sir! The readings are off the-... Oh my gosh!..." I had seen it too, Things started to crack apart, there was now a giant opening to the outside world, the real suns light breaking into the room mixing with the bright blue from the reactor. Bricks from the now fractured wall wizzed by me like canon balls shot from a deck gun, hurtling towards the core. I was stunned, I couldnt move for that brief moment, just staring at the destruction my creation was causing. "Sir!?" someone had tugged on my shirt to get me to move away from the ever crumbling wall.

"Shut it down! Now! Hurry!" I screamed, as I could hear the whails and cries of my workers being whisked off their feet and disappearing into the blue light with a flash from the reactor. Scrambling, I to began fiddling with knobs and pushing buttons in a frantic attempt to not get sucked in myself. Not but several meters in front of me was two workers, One holding onto his friend as he was being pulled by some unforseen force. The loud cracking of stone and earth now drowning out their screams.

The spinning of the Reactors inner mechanisms came to a grinding halt. Though, oddly, the blue light did not stop. Nothing was being sucked the now apparent ball of blue energy, as it slowly faded away I sank down and began to realize the gravity of what had just happened. Or rather, the lack of gravity to-- *the rest of the pages seem to be charred and burnt beyond you can make out...**
