The Ultimate Fighting Championship was originally devised as an elaborate promotion for the growth of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a No Holds Barred one night tournament that invited competitors from all styles to face off to determine the best martial art.

Instead of entering the dominant Rickson Gracie, the family decided to pick the scrawnier Royce to represent their art. Royce ended up tapping the infamous one gloved boxer Art Jimmerson by holding top mount(don't ask why), shoot grappler Ken Shamrock by rear naked choke and defeated Savate kickboxer Gerard Gordeau by the same, securing the original UFC tournament prize.

Gracie would continue undefeated in the UFC, and remained so until he encountered Kazushi Sakuraba in the 2000 Pride FC Grand Prix.

All the fighters is a big ask! Many of the relevant ones, especially from the old school, that can and will be done in due time. No promises how fast I get around to them, though. I did make a large amount of MMA fighters in FPR, just a matter of time to port them over and overhaul them for public consumption. I tend to work in cycles, going from one type of edit to another, so when I do get started again on UFC stuff, I'll be sure to get a good amount out there, at least from the early days.

Are you planning to make all the fighters from UFC? I've been contemplating working on a collection like that to go along with CarlCX's excellent PRIDE collection since MMA usually doesn't get a great deal of edits made for the older fire pro games.
