This drilling hover, unlock at level 20, is designed to fit well into the Magellan.

As of now, we can not bring a hover to a planet by SV, but only by CV.
So if your server allows you to park your CV near the resources, its weapons should protect you.
If that should not work out well, you still have 2 minigun turrets as a last resort.

This is a very nice drill vehicle. Thanks! I would like to see an earlier version. Most of the blueprints here do not have a defensive turret, or if they do are not suited for boring holes, just harvesting meteors. If the vehicle gets too long, it will tend to get wedged in a hole. This can do both without getting stuck while keeping the creepy crawlies away.
