Fire Pro Wrestling G version of Maurice Smith. All 4 costumes, full stats, full moveset, full logic. Everything comes from the Fire Pro Wrestling G Playstation game.

In FPG, he has the "shooter" stance. I changed it to the "boxer" stance. FPG doesn't have the "boxer" stance so even the obvious kickboxers (Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, etc) have the "shooter" stance.

The "shooter" stance looks different in the two games. In FPG, they have their hands out in front of them at chest level. In Fire Pro Wrestling World, they have their hands in front of their face. So when an edit has the boxing gloves it almost completely covers the face. It looks stupid.

The difficulty with Maurice Smith is that he's not strictly a kickboxer, he also did MMA. And some of his costumes reflect that, he has MMA gloves in two of the costumes. So it's a dilemma. What would the people at Spike do if they were making this character for a later Fire Pro game? Shooting stance or change to the "new" boxing stance.

It's not just a physical issue because I think the stance has an effect on gameplay.

I looked at what they did for Gary Goodridge, another kickboxer who did MMA, and they gave him the "old budo" stance. But he also doesn't have boxing gloves in any of his costumes.

So anyway, I decided to change it to boxing. If you're a real purist, you might want to change it to "shooter" but it looks ridiculous and Spike changed all of their kickboxers to "boxer" when they added that stance in later games.
