AOE Ardent-M Mining Vessel, produced by A.O.Engineering

Say hello to AOE’s Ardent-M. A medium sized ore collecting ship perfectly designed to conduct surface mining operations on asteroids. The Ardent is crewed by one person, features limited defensive capabilities and runs primarily on hydrogen. The engineers at AOE also equipped the ship with backup ion thrusters in case the hydrogen engines run out of fuel or fail. The Ardent-M does not feature a jumpdrive meaning that is has a somewhat smaller range of operation. The Ardent-M is the perfect ship for all people that enjoy mining in style.

whats a shame about the ship is the encounter verison strips its down to just a hydrogen engines and removes a few things

IDK whats wrong with the ship, but every time when i sit in the pilot seat with open helmet i get damage untill i close it. O2 is availabe in the ship.

@Zankar Haha yes the M does stand for medium and it is exclusivly for surface mining like you stated. There larger mining vessel that will be able to go deeper but i haven't started construction on that one. However i do like you idea with the piston so i might incorporate something like that.

I know its hard to keep with a design theme and build the most effeceint miner. You did lable this as a surface miner so its technically not meant to even go inside a cavernous roid. Anyways cool design, if this is the medium sized miner for the AOE then I can't wait to see the large sized miner. Can't really see you making your standard wall of drills miner looking cool like the rest fo your ships, best I could think of for better mining is a bunch of pistons with a drill head that extends from a ship, that way you could still keep to the AOE design theme and maybe have a more typical wall of drills most people use.
