ARC trooper armor was the kit issued to the Grand Army of the Republic's elite ARC troopers and, during the initial days of the Clone Wars, was an early model of the Phase II clone trooper armor, field tested by said troopers.

The kit consisted of what appeared to be baseline Phase I clone trooper armor with additional grey protective plating on the forearms, lower legs, and torso. In addition to having various ammunition pouches, it was also equipped with a pauldron and a kama as well as a survival pack. The most unique feature about the kit was its helmet, which was seemingly a prototype of the Phase II helmet that retained the Phase I helmet's characteristic fin.

Clone trooper commanders, also called clone commanders, were clone troopers bred on Kamino for leadership roles in the Grand Army of the Republic. They fought in the galaxy-wide conflict known as the Clone Wars.

They led regiments of 2,304 clone troopers which were organized into 16 separate companies. Each legion of clone troopers only had one senior clone commander. Sometimes, however, smaller regiments and battalions were led by clone commanders, like Commander Cody, who led the 212th Attack Battalion. When Jedi needed a group of clone troopers, no matter what size, a clone commander would usually join the group to assist the Jedi Generals. Distinguished by yellow markings on their armor and helmets.

During the Clone Wars, the clone trooper captain was a specialized clone trooper breed which was bred on Kamino as battlefield officers and special mission operatives. Clone trooper captains were recognized by their unique red markings on their helmets and torso armor.

During the Clone Wars, clone trooper lieutenants were clone troopers specially trained as officers on Kamino, and recognized by the unique blue markings on their helmets and torso armor. Clone trooper lieutenants wore distinguished blue Phase I clone trooper armor during the first years of the Clone Wars.

During the Clone Wars, clone trooper sergeants were clone troopers bred on Kamino to command squads in the Grand Army of the Republic, as well as clone cadets of the Clone Youth Brigade. Clone trooper sergeants wore Phase I clone trooper armor with olive green markings on their helmets and torso at the beginning of the Clone Wars.

Phase I clone trooper armor was the standard issue armor of the Grand Army of the Republic's clone troopers during the early portions of the Clone Wars. It was later replaced by the Phase II armor, which was better adapted to human anatomy. (i edited the arc trooper to look unique with a dark gray markings)
