[Fighter Blueprint] Vaygr Assault Craft [Homeworld 2]

A small fighter-class vessel of the warriors of the Vaygr Reaches, the Assault Craft adheres to the time-honored Vaygr shipbuilding tradition of doing one thing extremely well and everything else only begrudgingly, if at all. In the case of the Assault Craft, it is built to hunt other fighters. Armed with a forward-mounted flechette cannon, the Assault Craft is a fast and deadly interceptor. While it is lightly armored by fighter standards, making it more fragile than a Hiigaran interceptor, the Vaygr tend to operate it in larger groups. The Assault Craft's speed makes it excellent for hit-and-run style engagements, picking off other fighters and quickly retreating out of range of the larger frigates and corvettes that it can't counter on its own.

The Assault Craft saw heavy involvement in the crusade of the Vaygr warlord Makaan, who hoped to claim the Hiigarans' ancient Progenitor hyperspace core and awaken the legendary Progenitor warship, Sajuuk.

This build of the Vaygr Assault Craft is based on its appearance in Homeworld 2. It is exactly 200 blocks. In my opinion, this is one of the best fighter builds I've ever done. I'm excited to share it, and I will hopefully be able to use parts and lessons learned from this build to do more Vaygr fighters in the future.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.
