New Towns: Root

Not too deep in the fetid wetland lies the charming hamlet of Root, an eclectic whereabouts that's mostly free of deadly predators. Travelers will enjoy a genuine dining experience at Root's oldest tavern, The Sake Pump, celebrated for its lethal barfights and barbecued raptor shank. There's almost enough food for everyone, and more than enough hash to go around! This quaint backwater is also home to the fourth or maybe fifth smartest skeleton in the world, who sometimes allows visitors be part of his science experiments. Who doesn't want a mechanical pancreas?!

Root: Come for the relative security, stay because it's too dangerous to leave. And if that's not enticement enough to visit, get ready for a few months of bloody mayhem while the Stone Rats do their best to visciously murder the deposed United Cities lord who lives here.

This mod only adds characters, buildings, factions, dialogue, unicorns, and items to the game, so it should be compatible with most other mods. For best results, start a new game or import your saved game.
