RAF-977DM "Latvija"

RAF (Riga Automobile Plant) produced cars in Riga, the USSR / Latvia (now). The modification of RAF-977DM "Latvia", issued from 1968 to 1976, received the index 977DM "Latvia", the main difference from the earlier models was in the new body (the number of windows on the right and on the left side changed - their number decreased from 5 to 3 , but they became wide, and they had windows, and in addition, on the starboard side, instead of a narrow swinging door, a wider one appeared), in a new layout of the salon: 11 seats (10 passengers + driver). RAF-977DM in the modifications of fixed-route taxi, ambulance, car of operational groups, militia and as service minibuses operated in the USSR until the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s.
