Now I know that there have been many different versions of industrial17 over the years and it's getting quite annoying but as the community wanted to switch to I17, I thought I'd wipe together a quick version with changes that help it work for our gamemode and make the map better in my opinion.

That being said I still don't like the map and it's choice to use the beta theme.

I have had problems with my nodegraph tool when working with this map. if anyone wants to have a stab at it, send the finished nodes my way.

Map name for server owners: rp_apex_industrial17_b10

Improvments
  • Shell beach
    • Much Larger and more detailed than the original
    • 3 new warehouses
    • Functioning Crane
    • Vehicle Access
    • Interesting beach connection
  • RDC (Ration distribution center)
    • Redesigned for Ration Dispensers
    • Front door Tied into map alerts
    • TV Podium
  • Sewers
    • Some rebel bases expanded
    • Better Sewer Lighting
    • NPC Clip ramps for better NPC Navigation
    • Rebel entry puzzles
  • City
    • Hosptial replaced with two new stores
    • Added vets next to warehouse 1
    • Metropol is now an infested zone (abandoned and set up for player spawned zombies)
    • Cinema replaced with theatre for live performances
  • Lockdown / JW
    • Shop shutters close and lock when JW is on
    • More lockdown doors
    • More lockdown shutters
    • Lockdown seals and locks all checkpoints and the shell beach gate
    • Some rooms seal off trapping those inside
    • Lockdown turrets cover sealed entrances to catch out intruders
  • Other small improvements like:
    • New misc room next to armory
    • Breifing room enlarged
    • Shell beach maps
    • No TV podium in plaza
    • All shops have shutters
    • Checkpoints widened
    • Small fixes to the original
    • Etc

Important map features for Lua developers:
This map comes with a number of cool map features that can only be triggered by lower as well as import entities that Lua developers might want to edit or remove.

    I find that this is a really cool edit wich in most ways is actually superior to the original, the only change that you guys made wich I dislike is that you moved the beta style breencast from the plaza to the ration center (now that I think about it I also kinda miss the original CMU building)

    Also, the description heavily implies that this map is supposed to have a nodegraph even though I don't see any nodes apart from a few climb nodes when I type "ai_show_connect" in the console, NPC also can't navigate properly.

    Oh and, you said something about an admin control sphere, could you tell me where it is? I can't seem to find it.
