Yari Samurai Spear Wall

Says this is made for an older version of the game? is this updated or?

Still work? i find the ashigaru yari having a wall formation and the samurai counter part not ... kinda weird

Need to add this to the garrison samurai as well.

sadly someone forgot to give the Ikko Yari Ronin the same ability

Such a simple change suddenly making these units hella viable instead of almost useless. And they still remain balanced since you have to consider hire\upkeep cost, unit size, investment into yari dojo instead of the others.

Everyone fought in formation, it's just that samurai were more akin to officers than common ashigaru, they led units around rather than being units themselves (with a few exceptions). But when they did fight as a unit (mostly as cavalry or armed with teppo) they most certainly did so in a formation.Fighting outside of formation is probably the quickest way to get yourself killed. No matter how skilled a warrior you are, you cant parry 15 spears at once.

supper cool, i never knew that until now! also it seems logical that troops would be smart enough to compact together to defend against cav, especially the more disciplined troops who would follow orders well, i might be wrong tho, still good mod tho!
