描述
Track creatures and players by scent.

Mod ID: 1178259003

This is the first mod built against ArkFrame. It was intended to be purely an example mod to open source but it turned out quite well.

This mod Requires ArkFrame to be installed as first in load order!

Press F5 to toggle tracking.
Press SHIFT+F5 (or whatever the primary keybind key is) to open the menu to set tracking targets.

The keybind can be changed within the ArkFrame management UI (Default F9) in the "Keybinds" section.

When I press Shift + F5 I get a window asking for Scent Target, What do I input in the text box?

How does this work? Because, this could be turned into a great substitute of current AI pathfinding (at least, when following you). If the dino's follow your path, you could path them to avoid obstacles and would reduce the odds fo them hanging up on rocks, trees, walls, etc.

Yeah stumbled onto this and was hoping for the files, than saw the ArkFrame bit and kinda sad faced. Would have loved this for my wargs but making something like this on my own is well past my current skill level.

@Taiine Whoops! Yes that link was no longer valid. I moved the ArkFrame source itself somewhere else because I was basically paying $40 a month for something that wasn't usful as more than an educational resource.

The scent tracking mod itself though was actually just an example mod for how to use arkframe. Making a mod that does something similar is certainly possible without ArkFrame (Though not easy and probably not performant).

The link to the source files appears to be broken. Also shame ArkFrame needs to be used for this, would have loved to add this kind of tracking to my direwargs.

arkframe got updated with the aberration assets so this should now work just fine on aberration maps (Although there are still a few aberration creatures that aren't in the devkit as they were added later)

ArkFrame remaps everything, as such it is not compatible with mods that are made without ArkFrame. It probably won't become more common in mod making until after it is closer to being feature complete.

Is this mod touching the dino spawns or the dinos themselves? I was hoping to test this with Survival Plus, but this mod and/or ArkFrame breaks SurPlus functionality, and SurPlus breaks this mods functionality.
