The most balanced of my Single Units series, he lacks the attack of the Tetsubo of Ninja units, as well as the armor and defenses of the Naginata unit. But he makes up for it with his charge bonus and bonus against cavalry. Use him to charge in with your yari OR hold the line against charging foes, he works equally well in either situation, especially with his myriad of abilities and buffs. He doesn't intimidate enemies, but he does inspire allies. As always, he is likely to die if left to fight on his own, so keep him with his friends.

UPDATE 2: I increased stats and man health drastically in attempt to increase their survivability on the battlefield. In addition I lowered the recruit price, time, and upkeep cost, all to 1 to make them useful in the main campaign (since solving the disbanding issue was impossible). Finally, I have yet to test this latest update in a campaign, but the lowered price and increased stats definitely worked in custom battles. If you notice that it works in the campaign, I would appreciate a comment letting me know.

UPDATE: I increased the Man Health of each Single Units Mod, hopefully drastically increasing their survivability. Every soldier in the game has a health of one, whereas I have increased the Yari Master's to 500 (150 was still dying a little too fast, so hopefully this is alright).

WARNING: Currently there is an issue in the campaign with my Single Units Mods, where, because their unit size is so small, the game will sometimes disband them after battles. I am working on fixing this, but if it persists and remains unfixable, I might have to make these more like...10 men per unit or something similar.

I made this and the other Single Units Mods, mostly for my own personal enjoyment, but if y'all seem to like it and have ideas for other units you'd like to see, or suggestions on how to make my current ones better, let me know!

This doesn't clash with any other mod that I know of.

It doesn't require it, but I recommend you use my Increased Stats Maximums mod in order to make use of the insane stats of all of my Single Units Mods. Thanks.

not sure if you still check this. but there is a way to fix the disbanding problem.

just make them into generals. that way, the only way they will get disbanded after battle is if the unit itself dies.

however, this does come with another problem. if the AI siege them and wait, they will die due to siege mechanics.

Can you remove the unit cap for custom battles? I have been having a lot of fun with this mod, but I wish I could have more of these guys on the field for some custom scenarios.

@Mushroom Water Off the top of my head I can't remember, it has been so long. but I recommend you look up modding tutorials on google and youtube. That's how I found out.

UPDATE: I wanted to update all my single units mods to make them more viable in the campaign by lowering their price to near free and their recruit time to one turn (or instant if possible). However, since the Import Pack function isn't working properly I am going to have to remake each one from the ground up. Upon completion their stats may change, but they should be around the same.

NOTE: Due to a tragic and unexpected computer meltdown, I had to factory reset my machine, losing everything I had. Thanks to severe demoralization, I will likely not be coming back to work on these or any new mods for a very very long time. Thank you all so much for your interest in my mods. I hope you will continue to have fun with them.

@LJRgaming Yes, but There are some issues with it. After a battle with them, the game automatically disbands them because it thinks it lost too many units. I have not yet found a way to fix this, short of adding more men to the unit, but that would defeat the initial purpose of the mod.
