Totally reworked Main Menu featuring:
  • Urik's "Urik Game Menu" -- which is damn badass ; featuring a server browser, FOV slider, quick use setting sliders, etc.
  • Icon assets from Dando [SVK]'s "Custom Menu Icons - Metro 2033 & Last Light Theme" mod -- plus a Split-Screen extension created by me.
  • Custom DOOM (2016) Main Menu music -- non-OST "At Doom's Gate" -- unlike the popular mod, this one actually plays to completion, and isn't 202MB (shots fired @M.D).
  • Thicker, deeper menu sounds -- when you're scrolling over options, clicking forward, back, etc.

My main reason for doing this was the fact that using the 3 mods all together just felt s l o p p y and really bugged me. I say sloppy because the Split-Screen menu icon was stock, the Doom menu music started and ended abruptly rather than ending correctly and looping well, and the stock menu sounds just didn't seem to fit the theme in my opinion.

So I figured creating a single 21MB "package" would be neato (and a lot better than downloading 3 separate mods that are 215MB cummulatively).

UPDATE:
Finally got around to fixing the mod for the 2020 update... meaning The Last Stand finally works! The reason it took so long for me to get around to it was because it's been years since I modded this game; I lost all the tools, files, forgot how to do everything, etc.

this is amazing except for the icons, this is called a revamp but it adds things such as metro 2033 icons because believe it or not that is not related to left 4 dead. Apart from that? Its good

The mod has 2 bugs:
1) When you want to exit the game, either from a match or from the game itself, the buttons do not appear correctly. Only the "Cancel" button appears and not the "Accept" button.
2) In the video settings part you can't see which option you are choosing, you can hear it but you don't see the silhouette of the buttons.

I hope these problems will be solved soon, I love this mod and I want to continue using it. Hopefully the creator reads this feedback and he can fix this soon.
