Skyrim: The Old Republic

A mod that brings Star Wars to Skyrim

First and formost, this is not entirely my own work, all the credit goes to the original creators of the Mods. This is a compilation that combines the best parts of the Magicka saber mods and introduces some force techniques to the mix, giving you more of a star wars feel. This mod is still a Work in Progress, I would say it's only about 40% complete. I am working on adding a quest line that introduces the force to the the land of Tamriel as well as allows the player to pick a side of the force to master. I am adding a Jedi and Sith temple/cave/camp (I have yet to decide) as well as some more NPCs and potential followers. I may or may not create custom armor as well, so keep an eye out for that.

I have edited the following Force Abilities as they were not fuctioning as they should have been

Force Push sustained and Force Wave: Now inflict damage as they should

Force Lightning, Chain Lightning, and Force Destruction: Amount of damage each inflicts has been dulled down greatly as they were basically one hit kills.

The Mods this is derived from are Magicka sabers, Magicka sabers expanded, and Star Wars Force Abilities Mod WIP by Lord Haun, aberation, and avenger 86 respectively. Links to these will be provided below.

What I have done is Remove the movie hilts from Magicka Sabers Expanded. I felt they didn't really fit into the game (not that lightsabers fit in the first place) and I felt that there were just too many lightsabers anyway (nearly 200). Now there are one of each color and style (one-handed and two-handed) that can be crafted throughout the game. As you level up you get the opportunity to craft stronger lightsabers as you would before.

I then took the following force techniques and put them in the game:

Chain Lightning
Cloak
Corruption
Deflection
Destruction
Drain
Fear
Healing
Lightning
Lightning Shield
Persuasion
Push
Push Sustained
Pyrokinesis
Sight
Stasis
Stasis Field
Throw
Wave

These skills have been edited a bit to keep the game playable as they were way too strong in the original mod.

The basic skills are available to the player early on in the game with the more advanced force skills available from Merchants located in Windhelm and Solitude.

I have modded some robes to have armor ratings to give a star wars feel to your character.

If anyone has suggestions to make this better please give them. Also if you could test out the force abilities to make sure they are not too powerful and still keep the game fun to play and give me feedback it would be greatly appreciated. The point of this was to improve a couple of mods and make one file that contains everything you will need to add an Old Republic feel to Skyrim.
