Dark Elf Master

Dark Elf commanders seldom lead through personal example, preferring to rely on bloodshed and intimidation; in Naggaroth, respect counts for nothing unless it is backed by fear. Amongst the lower-born Dark Elves, it is thought better to die at the hands of an enemy than to face the wrath of a disappointed Dark Elf lord. The enemy, at least, will grant a swift death and have little prospect of making your family pay a blood price for the failure of their kin



Hey everyone! I'm bringing you a missing hero from the Dark Elf 8th edition roster: The Master. Masters are hero level Dreadlords, in the same way Nobles are hero level Princes, they both aspire to reach the top (in much different ways).

The Master hero works in a similar way to the Noble, he wields a wicked halberd to give you an anti-large hero and is able to mount up on a Dark Steed, Cold One, and Cold One Chariot.

But a Noble can obtain a Great Eagle mount, how come the Master has no flyer option?

That there is where the new weapon option comes into play. The Master has a unique skill line in his skill tree that allows him to take a Repeater Crossbow (see images) in place of his Halberd for more customization. This line leads to two skill perks that buff his ranged capabilities, as well as leading to mounts that support his new weapon. These mounts are a Dark Steed, Cold One, and Dark Pegasus. The catch is that once you choose the Repeater Crossbow, it will lock the mounts that support the halberd, and vice versa. This weapon option system is to allow more customization of the hero like on tabletop.

Compatibility: This mod won't be compatible with mods that add other Dark Elf heroes to the campaign. It does work with other hero mods, such as Cataph's Dragon Mages of Caledor.

The Master can be recruited from the second tier of the Barracks and is fully functional in multiplayer battles.
