Blonde Waves Delta

The name of the Blonde Waves river comes from its yellowish color. The huge river picks up sand from the great plains to the east, and builds a spectacular delta from it when reaching the ocean.

The area of the delta never really attracted people... the swamps, mosquitos, and the never ending complaining of the environmentalists have kept this natural wonder almost untouched during the last century, except for the famous Gold Fever of the Blonde Waves, when many adventurous men tried to build business out of the alleged high gold content of the sands of the river. Not to much surprise, noone has found enough to become rich...

During the last decade, the area has become more and more accessible, thanks to the new Highway System, drawing the attention of the real estate industry. The area may not hide gold, but the fresh air, untouched waters, and calmness may be even more valuable than that, if you know who to sell it to...
