EDIT: Due to no longer being a moron, I have totally revamped this mod. The ship looks better, the ship now comes in a hangar, rather than being out in the open, the book is now lore-friendly and written coherently, The ship is cleaner on the inside as well, and is just generally better in every way. Also belethor won't be killed anymore.

To start off on your journey, go to either belethor's shop in whiterun, or Castle Dour. Inside, either on Belethor's counter or a table in the room to your right, you will find a book titled something along the lines of "The Aetherial Manifest of the Ancestor Moth". This book contains some useless technobabble, but more importantly will point you in the general direction of the spaceship on the last page. Going to ivarstead as pointed and heading east, you will find a bunch of synod researchers and a blatant monty python reference to fight. With them dead, you will find an obvious map-marked dwarven ruin called "Lone Tower". Inside is a giant hangar with a rocket in it. Then all you have to do is pull a lever in a tiny, cramped, ugly compartment (Just like a real astronaut.) and then you are in outer space to do who knows what. Masser is pretty useless save for a lonely vampire and a spigot that produces free magicka potions, while secunda is full of monsters that will kill you. The main use of this is so that you can visit two places you aren't usually able to revisit. Namely, Sovngarde, and Misty Grove. Also orbital bombardment, which could be considered a meaningful use of a starship.

Oh, and it also has some random decorations that don't do much like a sensor map and two forward-mounted cannons that can't hit anything, as well as the whole Airlock thing that really doesn't need to exist.

Anyway, have fun.

EDIT: This may seem like a clone of Aethernautics, and yes, yes it is. It is a half-baked, mockbuster version of Aethernautics that is absolutely worthless in comparison. Do note, however, that it doesn't require the Dawnguard DLC. Now you can stop bugging trainwiz and download my awful excuse for a mod. Also the picture for this is out of date, the new ship looks similar, but the crystals expand in different directions, and is has an afterburner.

Very complicated to navigate with the ship. There are some instruments missing that I couldn't find to make it work properly. I found it quite curious and imaginative.

I like this mod a lot, but it's very disrupted. One can't ACTUALY fly the ship, it just teleports you to a launch room. You also can't leave the ship properly without using commands. I look forward to a better version of the mod but until then this'll do.

My newest mod is out. It's called "Vigil of the Silver Dawn" http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/profiles/76561198189078709/myworkshopfiles/?appid=72850
Also, It adds another spaceship.

It's called, An Idiot's Guide to dwarven spaceships, (Or maybe it was Dwarven Spaceships for dummies, I can't remember lol.) also it is on one of the long dining tables, the one on the left.

HFS, don't worry about it? I only mentioned it because It is a relatively popular mod (5th place in Nexus crafting category) and I guessed you hadn't heard of it.
When you first come across the meadery, it's been trashed by a dragon; too bad the mod author didn't get so specific, the mods would work together...

@Paganize. I can't really help you there. It would not make much sense for an alchohol company to try to hyjack a spaceship. But If you know what faction the Customer's are a part of Maybe I can make the Synod non hostile to them.

"You can just use the disable command to get rid of the launchpad" true, true, but it's bad for business when the Synod researchers ambush the customers; I guess I could re-label them as Blackbriar thugs...
