描述
Fifth episode of Search For The Jackal, my Far Cry 2 inspired campaign. As always, this scenario is suitable for SP or 2-3 player Co-Op. Once again, the crew's loadout is of the night-time varioation.

Crew:
- Larkin, Rifleman (AK12)
- O'Connor, Designated Marksman (MK18 ABR)
- McKay, Autorifleman (RPK12)

(Back)Story:
After the Commander's death the power struggle in this country has really begun. With the big cat gone, the other factions are trying to get to power. Out of these many factions two got my attention: UWLA and NLA, the United Workers and Laborers of Africa and the Nationalist Liberators of Africa. If you wonder about the politics here, let's just say if it was the 1970's, CIA would be all over UWLA. Gladly we're not living in the 70's, so we can operate without them around. And what comes to the NLA, they are separated from the Commander's troops a month or so ago and have expanded ever since. Now with the Commander gone the NLA has got almost full support of his troops.

Briefing:
We're in some ♥♥♥♥ now aren't we? After the Commander's death his opponents -- hell, even his allies -- realized that the place for the most powerful man in this country is unoccupied. Thanks to our little operation on the airstip last week a new faction has risen from the ashes: United Workers and Labourers of Africa, UWLA for short. These guys are appearently local socialists and communist volunteers from across the globe. According to some reports these guys have a irrational hate for nationalists, and guess what we also dug up by killing the Commander? You guessed it, nationalists. The NLA, or Nationalist Liberators of Africa were separared from the Commander's troops around a month ago, but with the Commander gone, almost all of his former men have transfered to NLA. Even with it's short lifespan, the NLA has already taken care of many smaller left-wing and otherwise "wrong cause" supporting cells. These guys are being led by the Commander's former Lieutenant, Amir Akhanteros, who is a killer of his own degree. I've heard that he once killed a villager in coldblood just because "he looked like a communist". Anyway, believe it or not but UWLA and NLA are actually at a cease fire. They want to halt any "outside intervenence" since it's their war and no one else's. If we got the chance, we could stirr the pot slightly.

NOTE: There is NO radio tower in this mission. Feel free to share your thoughts on the matter :)

Mods: Pretty much standard mods (atleast by the standards of this series :D), NIArms AK and comatibility mods, RHS and CUP. (trying to move away from African Forces for CUP, so the mod list may be shortened heavily :D)

The whole point with this mission is to be more of a story-driven atmospheric mission. In FarCry 2 you play as a regular mercenary who is sent to a country he knows basically nothing about, other than there is a conflict and he's getting payed. He's equipped with the most basic of black market guns and equipment. If I gave the players NVGs this mission would lose all of its atmosphere, feel and loyalty to the source of inspiration (FC2), thus being just be a short, dull mission with no content.

And the VAS? That was added so that players can fool around by equipping snipers, RPGs or whatnot. It holds no other purpose, really. You can think about it as a reward for endruing the mission regardless of the small amount of combat during the it. ;)

very good, but not without NVG. Why give us the VAS only at the end of the mission ...
