Last Retort

Last Retort is an original game that is similar to other games like Cards Against Humanity, Quiplash or Say Anything. You are given a prompt, you respond to it in your own words, and then everybody votes for who's response was best. There are rule clarifications listed in the Notebook, as well as instructions on how to add your own prompts for responses, how ties are handled and more.

Greetings Citizen and thank you for your interest in obtaining nutrition support from this Response Testing & Objective Reward Transfer unit. In keeping with the high demand for sustenance, this unit will test your ability to respond to prompts with grace, wit and/or fart jokes. Your response (retort) will then be displayed along with those of your fellow provision seekers and votes will be cast. You will receive foodstuffs to nourish your body and points to nourish your spirit based on the number of votes your receive. Bonuses will be awarded for the retort with the most votes as well as the fastest submitted retort (that received a vote). Because democracy is the non-organic binding agent that holds the food pellet of society together, failure to vote will be punished by withholding of nutrition/points. After your earnings have been delivered, the next round begins.

The participant with the greatest number of points at the end of all rounds will be considered the winner and will also be the least likely to succumb to scurvy today. We know these are dark times for humanity but we thank you for using this Response Testing & Objective Reward Transfer unit. Remember, treat every retort like it's your Last Retort.

This is a new game, and it has rules entirely juggled by the script. In my tests it has worked without errors, but if you find any, please come and let me know how to reproduce the error for myself. If I can reproduce it I can hopefully fix it. I hope you enjoy my big dumb game.

Also, the game comes with 150 prompts, but there will (hopefully) be a demand for more. I tried to make it easy to modify a card with your own prompts. If you make your own card, please share it on the workshop.

Seen all the prompts? The default 150 goes a long way, but only about 20 games or so. If you need more, hopefully others will help supply more. If you make your own, remember (when you finish it) to put it into the machine, type !clearmemory into game chat, THEN save a copy of your card to the workshop. I'll link it here.
