Footman Light Destroyer

Starwolf's Footman Light Destroyer brings versatility and capability to the table for a reasonable price.

The Footman is somewhat lightly armed for its combat role, though still quite capable of holding its own. Like many Starwolf designs, it is intended to augment its offensive and defensive capabilities with deployable craft. It carries Longbow-class bus drones which deploy Black Arrow attack drones, and Javelin-class laser drones, which can be offensively used or employed as an anti-missile swarm.

Unlike some Starwolf craft, the Footman is fully intended to engage enemy ships directly, and has a good record against other light and medium craft. It is designed for a nose-forward orientation during combat, which allows all of its weapons to be brought to bear against a single target, and makes use of the slim profile, steeply sloped armor, and Vanadium Chromium Steel nose cone to deflect enemy fire away from vital systems and crew modules.

The Footman Light Destroyer masses in at 1.69 kt, 109 meters in length, and only 8.00 Megacreds, with a respectable 5.2 km/s of delta V.
