Oog was found frozen to the side of a glacier in the arctic wasteland. He was purchased (fully intact and inside a block of ice) by Phineus T. Phatback who at one time fancied himself a modern Robert L. Ripley. After hemmoraging money, the warehouse containing some of Phineus' collection of oddities became neglected. The power bill to the warehouse went unpaid and the caveman eventually thawed out. One of Phineus' associates found him, surviving in the cluttered warehouse. Not one to pass up a chance to make some extra cash, Phatback brought Oog to the F3 as an attraction and wrestler.
