Not all hybrids rescued muster out to be part of the Skirmisher Corps, but they can still make good soldiers for XCOM.

A reimagining of the original ADVENT Hybrids mod, these are hybrids recruited through Covert Actions from the Skirmishers (along with reusing their head and scarring assets). They may only become normal classes of soldiers, but they still have a couple tricks up their sleeves.

Hybrids may also be obtained around 50% of the time when a Double Agent manages to survive the mission with XCOM.

Stats
ADVENT Hybrids that join XCOM have their chips modified and upgraded by Shen, enabling them to Mark Targets in the field like ADVENT captains. Since the process for doing so uses the Avenger's systems however, there's a global cooldown of 5 turns, if one hybrid marks a target, every mark ability goes on cooldown.

They also start off with 50 hack score (or on legend, 40), to represent their familiarity with ADVENT-based computer systems. Otherwise, their base stats are identical to humans except in terms of will: they start out with lower will by about 10 points on average.

These stats can be changed in the mod's XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini

Other Mod Support
If Allies Unknown is installed, while they may not be recruited through normal means, you may earn them as a soldier reward from missions or Resistance Rumours.

If Extract Corpses is installed, the fulton has a 25% chance of successfully recruiting the fultoned ADVENT (if stunned) to your cause. Chance increases with injury to the ADVENT. Rank of the acquired soldier will scale with force level. Chance may be edited at (wherever XCOM 2 is installed)\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1137551204\Config\XComRM_Hybrid.ini

Cato Heresy has added support for this mod with Even More Backstories. That mod will give hybrids their own custom backstories instead of just using the Skirmisher ones.

If Advent Names is installed, the mod will take the name from that unit directly instead of making a new one.

Not really a bug just an odd interaction I wanted to share. I got a bio trooper as my ADVENT helper for a mission, we go in, snake pulls her out of position and wraps her, I get the "______ will join XCOM after the mission" popup in the corner but she was at full health so I was like "wtf? okay?" then she turns into a faceless! So I guess the biotrooper got scared and ran off and a faceless took her place without us noticing but she's gonna join XCOM anyways.

@ThePhantomIntheTypewriter (as well as anybody else wondering about this) - You can add additional head options by editing the mod's XComContent.ini file. E.g. if you want the hybrid heads from Jsleezy's Repurposed Gear to be available to your hybrid soldiers, take the relevant BodyPartTemplateConfig lines from JRG's ini, paste them into this mod's ini, and edit them so they match the RM_HybridSoldier character template like this:
