The Berthier rifle replaced the lebel 1886 over the course of WW1, and even saw service in WW2 alongside the MAS-36!

The berthier was better than the lebel for its box magazine, however it fell short due to it's 3-round capacity. future versions would be able to hold 5 rounds, however only a couple of these saw service during WW1.

Le fusil Berthier a remplacé le lebel de 1886 pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, et a même été témoin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, à côté du MAS-36!

Le Berthier était meilleur que lebel pour le magazine de sa boîte, mais il était tombé à court parce que le magazine portait seulement 3 cartouches. les versions futures pourraient contenir cinq balles, mais seulement quelques-uns de ces services ont été utilisés pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.

This doesn't show up in the weapons menu under TFA France. I can see the 1886 Lebel, but none of the other French weapons.

Can you maybe make a non TFA version, like maybe m9k, or Cw 2.0? I wouldn't even mind if it had no hand animations!

NOTICE! I have found two new ww1 servers! First is Libertas Gaming's early alpha server! the second is Cyanic Network's server!
Cyanic Networks server is the same formula that all {popular} past ww1 servers have used (for those like me who have played any of those before)

Libertas Gaming however, gets away from the timer, and have just a bit more RP elements than Debrief(cuz lets be honest the past servers had just debrief + TDM. that got old REAL FAST)

I obviously find the libertas gaming to be intriuging to say the least, however cyanic is where you will see ww1 sweps, rather than Libertas' ww2 DoI CW sweps. But who knows? If we support their approach in kind suggestion and effort to better BOTH; then they might end up as the first-of-their-kind that are approaching ROLEPLAY ORIENTED!

Check out both and tell me everything wrong with the swep I need to get back to maintaining my sweps now!
