ASM Yurta Mobile Base V3

If well ASM usually operates in low gravity moons, asteroids and planetoids, the need for atmospheric crafts has always been important. In order to support the growing ASM air fleet, a new mobile base was designed, capable of being deployed from orbit. The Yurta class was the result of this need.

The base can be deployed by any void ship from orbit, preferably in previously scouted positions. Using newly desgined parachutes and with the use of gyroscopic balancing, the base will land safely on the desired area, already loaded with its aircaft and everything needed to support them. Includes refinery, assemblers, oxygen generators, a very extensive solar power plant and life support for the crew. It includes an internal hangar and a top landing pad, self defense turrets (with self repairs) and extensive crew areas.

If well the base is slow compared to airborn options, its mobility will allow it to be deployed for long periods, searching for the minerals needed to sustain its aircraft, while not having to worry about becomeing too heavy to fly (and maybe crash)

This vehicle is also used as an exploration craft in planets with around 1g of gravity, although the civilian version removes the gatling turrets with anti-personal turrets.

Dont deploy this on a cliff. Remember to use the gyroscopes to land straight.
