Viação Santa Cruz Classic (MAN Lion's Coach)

In the 50s, when entrepreneur Eugênio Mazon inaugurated the collective transportation system in Mogi downtown (Mogi Mirim - MG), initially consisting of the school transportation of 14 students between Conchal and Mogi Mirim. Shortly thereafter, Mazon also offered small trips to employees of various industries in the region, which soon evolved into a system of collective urban transport and tourism.

On June 14, 1958, Eugenio decided to found Viação Santa Cruz S.A. to improve their services. The new company begins its activities shortly after acquiring a Ford F600 gardener, to serve the industries that were beginning to settle in the region, generating jobs and development.

Already in the 60's the services of Viação Santa Cruz expand regionally, with the acquisition of an intermunicipal line linking Mogi Mirim to Mogi Guaçu. The company also started the implementation of urban collective transportation services, called "Circulars", in the cities of Mogi Mirim and Araras.

Industrial development was consolidated in the region, which made the population's demand for transport services increase considerably. In the 70's, the Viação Santa Cruz acquires its first batch of Mercedes-Benz Monobloc models O321. The new buses, which were beginning to turn a fever among other companies in the industry at the time, offered passengers more comfortable seats and had a unique chassis and body. In the same decade, the company began to invest in several other municipalities in the interior of São Paulo and also in Minas Gerais. The acquisition of the companies Viação Bizacchi and Rápido Pinhal allowed the expansion of the schedules of attendance to the population and with that the Viação Santa Cruz arrived in the city of São Paulo. The company also began to serve the municipalities of Poços de Caldas, Andradas and Espírito Santo do Pinhal after having established the Viação Nossa Senhora de Fátima and installed its own garage in Alfenas.
