June 22nd 1941

The Apples had invaded the great Meloviet nation, thus beginning ''Operation Barbapple", breaking a large treaty between the two, known as the ''Appzi-Meloviet Non-aggression pact'' which was to last for another 10 years, but due to the lack of fuel for the Applekreig tactic which had been successful and the fact that fuel was desperatly needed against the Pears and Bananas on the Western Front, and with Melossia having extreme amount of fuel reserves and large industrial production areas was a very decisive move, but however very risky on the Apple's part.

Previously before the invasion, the Meloviet dictator, Melin - had the chance to reform Melossia, increasing it's military power and focusing on production of resources to increase the economy even under a Melonunist government.
During the war effort, the Apples had the first upper hand during the summer battles, but however, as the Winter had set in - The larger stature of the Melons had outmatched the Apples in retaining heat - Killing the Apples of Hypothermia and decreasing their moral overall. And with the supply routes being cut off due to constant bombings and difficulties through the tough terrain, the Apples had retreated and been captured, leaving off lots of Wounded Soldiers and Deaths of both sides even.

The weakened Apple side of the Eastern front, and the Apples being choked out on the Western Front, especially with the introduction of the Apricots, had resulted the Apples being cornered in it's Capital city, and the order was given for the Melons to roll in and take the city to destroy the Applzis, putting the national flag of Melossia upon the Applestag, thus ending the war in Fruitupe.

Applemany was divided in to many zones for the Bananas, Pears, Melons and the Apricots, this close proximity of clashing political stances had created tensions between the powerful nations known as the Rotten War, which had no actual physical wars between the nations, but had wars known as Proxy wars, which were other areas of the World which had clashing political stances, and lead to wars, which the nations funded and supplied each side which complimented their political stance, like the North Oranges and the South Oranges, Meloviets had funded the North Oranges and the Apricots funded the South Oranges.

However after on 5th of March 1953, Melin had died of a Stroke, and his body was placed upon a wooden table in a secret room with a single spotlight. Melin was succeded my Melonchev after his death as the new Meloviet leader.
