But if this issue affects various mods, how is it getting fixed besides the manual enabling? Do the authors need to update their mods for new launcher's version, or CA update their laucher again after some time and it starts working with all mods?
Thanks, it works now.
For the time being, using a user.script text file still works to enable any mod and override the launcher entirely. Just disable all mods in the launcher and it even works without the annoying message, just be aware that it is a fully manual way of enabling / disabling mods.
Do do that, go to C:\Users\Crynsos\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer2\scripts
(Replace C: if you installed Steam / Warhammer elsewhere and replace Crynsos with your windows account name), create a file called user.script.txt and have it contain your mods like:
mod "@_instant_monster_hunting.pack";
mod "skipintros.pack";
Where this for example enables both this mod and the Skip Intro Logos mod.
This works for all Total War games.
Could it be caused by today's launcher update?
