WM01 Starter class Shuttlepod

Mod/Scenario - None (Vanilla)

The first in my Wimpomania line-of-ships is this Mk IIIb Starter class Shuttlepod. It is a small and simple unarmed snub-shuttlecraft, intended only to perform very-short-range (ie ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore or similar) transport of two individuals.






Outer Doors - Automatic (on Motion Sensor) from outside, but manual from inside (although MoSen will close as you leave the sensor field).
Ramps - Automatic (on Motion Sensor)

None.



- NOTE - any Mini Fridges on board come turned off by default to save power until food is inside needing to be kept cold, and can only be turned off manually (or by turning off all power to the vehicle) from the fridge's own UI to limit instances of food being accidentally spoiled.

- HISTORY - The first Starter class Shuttlepod - the Mark I, if you will - was actually built in Starmade, which (like Minecraft) has a block size of 1m x 1m x 1m. The Mk II was built in Space Engineers, which (like Empyrion) has a "small grid" block size of .5m x .5m x .5m. Since both the MkII and MkIII are block-for-block replicas of the MkI, they are/were both half the size of the original (or is it one eighth? lol). TBH, I actually prefer the smaller scale.

The Starter class is to me and my space building survival games what the Starflier is to Freelancer, the Sidewinder is to Elite: Dangerous and what the Miranda class is to Star Trek Online... it's supposed to be the first, cheapest, sh*tt*est ship available to the player - my plan in Starmade was to run an RP server where everyone got a Starter class Shuttlepod by default. The class name originally being obviously tongue-in-cheek, but as I've come to build it again (and again) I've become attached to the name.
